Records of the 1991 Texas Inaugural Committee document its organization and planning of the inaugural ceremony for Governor Ann Richards and Lieutenant Governor BobBullock on January 15, 1991 and other celebratory events occurring bothbefore and after the swearing-in of the chief executive of the state and the lieutenant governor, who also serves as Constitutional President of theTexas Senate. Records include minutes of the Texas Inaugural Committee meetings, correspondence,memoranda, press releases, newsclippings, photos, fashion design sketches, videotapes, invoices, contracts, samples of invitations and other artifacts andmemorabilia. The records date from 1932, 1963 to 1991, and undated, with the bulk of the material datingbetween the November 1990 gubernatorial election of Ann Richards through theinaugural festivities in January 1991. Earlier records document previous Texas gubernatorial inaugural festivities.
